Honestly the only reason I'd object to a Filipino Pope would be because the CBCP handles sex abuse cases so so so poorly. No trials, no defrocking (except for the occasional priest or two, especially one that gets too much media attention), just a lot of cover-ups and a lot of priests reassigned to a different diocese.

I don't know a ton about Cardinal Robert Sarah but he seems like a really great guy, firmly and outspoken orthodox too.

Plus, we can get all those idpol guys to get off our backs about a black Pope :P

Aye, but it's interesting nevertheless. The trinity, we would expect, shares knowledge between its persons even though the second coming is known only to the Father.

Maybe it's to be intended as there isn't a predetermined date, so there isn't knowledge about it in the trinity, but when a date will be decided we'll perceive it as a decision of the Father.

The concept of the trinity is indeed interesting to think about.
Wouldn't it be similar to a dice? Where each person is a face of the dice, the dice is a single entity, but each face is different. And humans are only able to see one side at a time, because that whole dice has too many dimensions to be fully perceived at once.

Though I find more interesting the metaphorical meaning of the second coming, where it isn't important when it'll happen, but how to use the time waiting for it, which should be used by being dutyful and always proper and ready.
If the parable of the watchful servants is to be taken as a reference to the second coming.
