To be fair, that's conspiracy to collude with a foreign power by Donald jr. and lacking any evidence of Donald sr. knowing about it before the meeting happened (and permitting it), it does not make Donald sr. guilty.

There's the question of whether Trump knew after the meeting. It may be technically illegal to know of the conspiracy and not inform a law enforcement official, but that's clearly a lesser crime than the conspiracy itself and in any case Trump sr. would have some defense in the Fifth Amendment, jr. being his son.

The meme is from March this year, rather old as memes go.

According to TinEye, the image used dates back to 2012. CNN used it, so presumably it's real.

OK, you found it funny. While thinking it's naughty to be gay (basis of the humor) is rather immature, I'll give you credit for being a recovering homophobe as most people are, and that this is funny to you shows you're not a full strenghth homophobe who would find the imputation too scandalous to joke about.

But yes, been seeing quite a bit about this lately. Evangelicals have of course been blurring the line between their faith and their political affiliation for decades, nothing new about that.

Normal Republican candidates however have the common decency to cultivate the appearance of piety and (if they've been previously busted) repentance, which previously gave Evangelical leaders at least some cover for their downright liberal views of morality when it came to people with an 'R' after their names.

Trump on the other hand is just so unapologetically the antithesis of everything the self-proclaimed guardians of virtue and faith have been preaching for years..and yet they didn't even miss a beat, just immediately declared him an upright and moral Christian man chosen by God as evidenced by his being registered a Republican.

This is apparently causing a bit of a problem with younger Evangelicals who are, quite rightly, calling bullshit, and even older Evangelicals who are suddenly being confronted with some unpleasant truths about their spiritual leaders.
