Well, it looks like my house going to be in the middle of all this. Fortunately we were already planning to leave on Friday for other reasons, but I hope nothing happens here. We're high enough that I doubt the house'll flood, but given what the wind's done elsewhere I imagine some windows could break.

i was thinking the same thing, i was going to blame the hurricane on Mr. Brown.

Hopefully the worst won't happen. With Miami having sea level rise and the hurricane helping it, it's literally a worst case scenario. I've always wanted to go to Miami but... if the hurricane is going to destroy its beauty forever, I'm out.

i love south eastern florida. i have friends and family down there. they got blasted in andrew, and were able to rebuild. in a few years they will rebuild again.

i have heard that story. Lee was a method actor, i am surprised he didnt put a hit on lansky for that insult.

As of right now, the only warnings associated with Cat 3 Hurricane JOSE are for Antigua, Barbuda and Anguilla. And it's only a Tropical Storm at that considering how powerful it already is.

The sad part is that the infrastructure has been damaged so badly... I seem to recall that Barbuda is being evacuated completely and the inhabitants will take refuge in Antigua.

I will be honest, they are very lucky to have another island in their nation to retreat to. Still doesn't alleviate the pain and suffering caused but still.
