The 3 are: Ventusky, NOAA and the news. They give different ideas about where they're going and it's interesting of their ideas. Unless the news took it from NOAA

Most if not all forecasts come from either NOAA or the NWS.

They most certainly did. They don't have the equipment, manpower, or expertise to accurately forecast hurricanes.

NOAA is pure forecast and statistical analysis. Ventusky seems to be just another 3rd party radar company, and the "news" is typically forecasting with filler.

EDIT: I wouldn't say Ventusky is just another 3rd party radar and weather company. It predicted Tropical Cyclone Ten dying off immediately the day it was discovered while NOAA predicted it to be a hurricane. It also predicted Hurricane Jose, Katia, Lee, Maria, Nate and Max all at least a week before spawning.

Well, I'm glad I live in Illinois, we get a lot of snow but I will gladly have snow if we dint get hurricanes. Good luck to EVRYONE in Florida and wherever its path is!

Gov. Rick Scott ordered all public K-12 schools, state colleges, state universities and state offices to close Friday-Monday, his office announced Thursday night.

“I am directing the closure … for their normal activities effective Friday through Monday, to ensure we have every space available for sheltering and staging,” he said in a statement.

“Floridians are facing a life-threatening storm in Hurricane Irma, and every family must prepare to evacuate,” Scott added. “Our state’s public schools serve a vital role in our communities as shelters for displaced residents and staging areas for hurricane recovery efforts.

“Closing public schools, state colleges, state universities and state offices will provide local and state emergency officials the flexibility necessary to support shelter and emergency response efforts.”
