Interestingly enough, everyone down here is extremely calm. Like a powerful storm isn't about to come destroy our property, our cars, and god forbid our lives. As cliched, as it sounds, feels like the "calm before the storm." In my opinion, it kinds of feels like we're purposefully ignoring it, I included. Or maybe the realization hasn't sunk in yet. Or maybe it's because we kind of had a feeling it was coming. I mean, on Thursday the temperature was 119 degrees Fahrenheit; felt like fucking hell.
