I have another question :-

When they ran this poll, did they explain what "neo-Nazi" views were, or did they just let people make up their minds before saying whether they were acceptable or not?

Because if you think "neo-Nazi" views are marching in leather jack-boots, wearing uniforms, thinking Hitler was a strong leader and carrying flags with black spiders on them, then I can see how some people who are not deluded fuckwhits might think that's acceptable.

But if you think "neo-Nazi" views involve slaughtering Jews, Muslims, black people, brown people and basically anyone who isn't white and "Pure American" (which is an oxymoron in and of itself when you think about it) and then reclaiming America for "the true owners" and kicking out the black people, the brown people, the gays, the Jews and all the others who are not ideologically pure then I find it less possible to understand how anyone who isn't an amoeba could think that anyone holding those views is acceptable.

So - did they specific what "neo-Nazi" views were?

While trying to check on how the East Germans leadership in 1946 were able to get the German people who supposedly were mostly pro-fascists to becoming pro-socialist (getting millions of people who are at one end of the political spectrum to the other end of the political spectrum cannot be an easy thing;; West Germany is different since going from fascism to capitalism, capitalism had once flourished in Germany, would have been much better accepted), I found out that the left in Germany had just been dormant during the war. That once the war was winding down they came back even though they did not have the numbers they had pre-fascism. These german groups are considered the true Antifa. The Antifa of today are nothing like those found in Germany back then.

The big problem with Fox News is that they only have like two or three programs that are actually dedicated news stories; the rest are opinion shows. I mean, look at their highest rated shows: The Five, Outnumbered, Hannity, even Fox News Channel, when they classify those programs, just call them talk shows or opinion. They don't call them news. There are varying opinions on the different opinion shows, but people who watch Fox News really should be more aware when watching that if they aren't watching Shepard Smith, Bret Baeir(?), or Chris Matthews, that they are watching a show dedicated to promoting a political viewpoint, not actually disseminating information. The aforementioned programs that are formally classified as news, though, are actually pretty good. I remember there was a study (I don't know how they compiled their information), but it showed that Bret Baer's (I have no idea how to spell his last name) show negatively cover's Trump 52% of the time it talks about him.

People, particularly in the U.S, tend to believe a lot of things that are easy to criticize or are not particularly helpful and people tolerate that (I.E all poor people are poor because they deserve it/because they're all lazy and not at all in an unfair economic system, etc). Can you say "Muslims"? Because Fox News can't say it without blaming them for everything. That is when they are not pointing the fingers at Democrats and more recently AntiFa.

I would argue that - with the possible exception of actually being owned by Trump - Fox News is the very model of modern State Media. It does EVERYTHING that North Korean State television does, and the vast majority of Americans (and most of the rest of the world) are very sarcastic and dismissive of that.

So I am going to continue to refer to it as US State Media, because, for me, it is the most accurate term
