Yes. Exactly seven. To small children.

And that's right because breakfast is unnecessary.

Why do we tell small children Santa Claus exists?

Because people are liars and that you can get away with lying to kids.

As I said before societies have never considered kids people and will never consider kids people.

No matter how nice humans can be the Hobbesian State of Nature is never far away.

To let the legend live on, or to ‘enhance’ the ‘Christmas spirit’?

Hello Idz. If I may, since you're a trustworthy sort, any useful advice for when I begin my days as a university student in a week?

Balance and discipline are key. University is a time of a lot of work and busyness, but make sure to keep some time for yourself. If you don't (like I didn't) burnout will probably result, and once your motivation is gone, it's very hard to find it again. Balance self-care and socialization with classes and homework.

On the other hand, discipline is needed, because it's also easy to procrastinate. If you set up a time to do an assignment, don't make excuses and put it off. Just do it. College life is a tad less chaotic when you're not constantly pushing the deadline.

Best I got for ya, friend. Best of luck in your endeavors!

Why do we tell small children Santa Claus exists?

Because it's fun for everyone when the curiosity and wonder of a child are inspired.

With false teachings? Rather, teach them something that’ll benefit their skills of critical thinking, that will help them excel in the academic world and not merely old folk tales and traditions.

Most children piece it together themselves over time. It's only a problem when parents are too insistent on keeping it going against the doubts of the kid.

Otherwise, it's a non-issue and when you learn the truth, you are now a fellow wonder bringer to children smaller than you.

You realize that most kids train said skills by realizing that Santa doesn’t exist.
