I shudder to imagine the ircumstances in which that'd be a proper solution to one's dirt problem.

Oh you're no fun.
Stupid people who do stupid things bring joy to all the net, we don't want to hear that maybe they were people just like us who had a horrible disfiguring accident. Leave us to our small minded pleasures will ya?

Never kept a Tardigrade as a pet then?
Well they aren't very good pets, but you don't have to worry about them dying just because you left them in a car on a hot day.
It is actually cute, imo. However it makes a poor pet due to being easy to lose. It's less than 1 mm long.

What's the point in kids if we aren't going to pretend that every stupid thing one or two of them do is some terrifying new trend sweeping the globe?

Water Bear, yes?
They are oddly cute indeed, I agree.

So, due to a skint-of-exact-detail throw away line of text tacked onto a post to make it more substantial than "that sucks", you want me to shave my head to show you, (a rando I don't know or have any intention of meeting), an age old scar from some thing that me and my mother laugh about when we talk about it these days?
Uhh, no.Risottia wrote:I'm rather apathic to the spreaders of dangerous bullshit. Yeah, don't ever talk to me again.

So basically, people tried taking the ice bucket challenge in the other direction, and several were burned and one child died as a result.
And not all of these were people who poured the hot water on themselves either. Some of them ended up burned after others poured hot water on them. Why can't the police use the IP addresses of the video uploaders to track them down?
And why after all of this are parents still letting kids use the Internet?
Also, could the ALS people be considered liable for this too or no?

Perhaps the solution lays not in condemning them to their stupidity, but instead guiding them out of it to avoid such things?

How do we know this? Because the first step toward Communism is Socialism, and none of the aforementioned are even remotely Socialist in any way, shape, or form.
