Never kept a Tardigrade as a pet then?
Well they aren't very good pets, but you don't have to worry about them dying just because you left them in a car on a hot day.

It is actually cute, imo. However it makes a poor pet due to being easy to lose. It's less than 1 mm long.

That moment when you say "we never did that when I was a kid" then realize that's not actually a good thing.

"Don't take it so hard Uncle Ailia, I'm sure you'll do many interesting things when you're older" doesn't help.

Uhh, no.

Yeah, don't ever talk to me again.

You avoid spreading dangerous bullshit around - like the barbaric idea that pouring boiling water on kids is a normal way to discipline them, or that it doesn't hurt that much - and I won't have to call your posts out. Not to mention your personal anecdotes for whom you refuse adamantly to provide proof.

The most stupid part of this decade is people using SJWs as a universal boogeyman who is somehow responsible for everything bad in the world.

So basically, people tried taking the ice bucket challenge in the other direction, and several were burned and one child died as a result.

And not all of these were people who poured the hot water on themselves either. Some of them ended up burned after others poured hot water on them. Why can't the police use the IP addresses of the video uploaders to track them down?

And why after all of this are parents still letting kids use the Internet?

Also, could the ALS people be considered liable for this too or no?

Sometimes you just can't stop stupid. This is a perfect example of such. Kids need to grow some brains as well as their parents because it's clear some don't have one.

Bad Parenting

I don't think parenting is to blame. Every young person will occasionally do stupid and dangerous things out of curiosity or desire to prove oneself to his peers. However, at that age a human being should be (and most usually is) capable of telling the difference between acceptable and downright idiotic risks, and if he isn't or will take the idiotic ones nonetheless, then I fail to see why that person ought to be protected from the consequences of his stupidity and recklesness. Even more so if the said person in question is a supposedly-mature adult.

I certainly look at these cases of people killing themselves over some stupid trend as natural selection. Hot water will hurt you - it's an elementary fact of life, and someone incapable of realizing (or willfully ignoring) that is bound to get himself killed eventually in any case. Personally I'd rather have it happen sooner than later when the consequences of this imbecility may also result in collateral damage.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

A fool sees religion as the truth. A smart man sees religion as a lie. A ruler sees religion as a useful tool.

The more God in one's mouth, the less in one's heart.

Seriously, how can people do shit this stupid? I didn't think "boiling water = very hot" was something that needs to be taught to people their age. I guess this is natural selection.
