Isn't that being bigoted against AIs? Don't AIs deserve civil rights and freedoms? Oh god, this is gonna get heated.

I disagree, but that fear is a good reason to why a self-aware AI could be counterproductive to humanity's goals. Unless the AI is taught to share our goals, it's probably not a good idea to keep it around.

See, this is the reason why nukes aren't allowed in space. Since it's the best way that we (or at least I) know how to trigger a mass EMP.

See, you're worrying over nothing. Robots aren't taking the roles of either soldiers or doctors yet; they aren't at that stage yet...
Unless there's a Auto-Doc kickin' around somewhere...

He also said that you don't need Nukes to make an EMP. You just need to overload power and he said you could make a small scale EMP with a 9 volt battery.

I mean, technically. But you aren't going to exactly paralyze national infrastructure with a small EMP, which is the assumed goal of using an EMP in the first place.

I'm not a doctor though. I have EMT training though. Still I don't want robots to get anywhere near that.

No, but if you had a large enough power source, you could easily make a large EMP without ruining the surroundings for millennia.

Facial recognition was something computers had trouble with, but machine learning is quickly changing that. Name a field and I can probably find journal articles that are significantly on their way to being functional at it.
And I hate that. I'm not going to stand around and have my job taken over by some tin can

More power to you, but it isn't likely to change anything.
The industry that employs the most people right now is transportation. Those jobs only have a decade. Two tops.
Maybe something will change politically when the unemployment rate skyrockets from that, but I find any meaningful resistance unlikely.
