Say what you will, but I am quite fond of the homophobic chicken.

Carry on then, if you are ever at NYU, you will have a place to eat.

I can manage it once every few months.

Though I don't foresee a time when I will be at NYU.

Tbh, I don't either, which if you continued in cyber security might be a mistake, but since you are not, not so much.

I keep telling myself that I must remain calm because there's no point in worrying overly much for a hurricane's path (I can't change anything), but I feel like my heart is divided. My mom and grandma are at the mercy of the hurricane (Maria, currently hitting the Lesser Antilles and en route to Puerto Rico), and I'm over here. The sense of helplessness is huge. But the truth is I can't do a thing about it so... tequila shots for the soul.

The best thing your family can do is be prepared and move to higher and more secure ground. If you are religious then pray to give yourself strength - even if it might not change the hurricane's path. There is only so much you can do from where you are. I know full well the helplessness of being far, far away from people in need and the feeling truly has eaten away at me over the years. As always I will deliver lots of  over the internet to anyone who needs them.

I wish I was one of those people who knew what to say in moments like these.

I'm sorry. That sucks. I hope the next few days go quickly and that everyone's alright.

I am beginning to think Virgin sacrifice is the only answer. Clearly the weather gods are angry and must be appeased.

Or maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with all those greenhouse gasses we have been pumping into the atmosphere for the last two centuries, adding destructive energy to the weather.

That's just crazy talk. If you are a virgin, I got a once in the lifetime job oppertunity for you.

Clearly, Ethel is the heretic.

We need a car to sacrifice to the almighty gods of wind!

The sea is closer than you think, Ethel. And when the oceans expand with gigantic amounts of water from the depleted polar ice caps, you will suddenly discover that the sea is way too close.

Oh but that's for another day, the here and now is a jolly good time for some blood sacrifice of the pure, I agree. More virgins!

Look, this whole pagan human sacrifice nonsense is what made Christianity the reasonable alternative in the past.

Now, now, that kind of attitude is exactly why we're going to leave The Netherlands to its fate. Don't disrespect other cultures like that, how very rude!

Build the pyre, blood for Danu. Build the pyre, blood for Danu.

And to think that some believe that snark can't be used to better people.
