Reeling under the mounting stresses as the school year approaches. I have a lot of decisions to make quickly, such as whether I want to take a gap year after this one before plunging into grad school.

Damn. I'm not doing to bad. Filling out applications for local PD and Fire as well as considering going back to school to get my JD.

Though I felt like I had been sucker punched earlier this week.

That's less of a concern -- at least in my field, it is expected that if a grad school actually wants you, they offer you a fairly sizeable stipend, so you can expect the amount you have to pay on your own to be fairly negligible. I'm fairly involved in local politics, though, and I'd like to be here for the midterms. On top of that, I also have a wedding to plan -- we're shooting for the October after this one and it would be a lot easier to pull that off if we aren't dealing with having just moved to another state so I can go to grad school. But it's also harder to get back into the swing of education if you take time off and it'll be harder to arrange things like letters of recommendation and get help from my professors in navigating the application process if I'm doing this geographically far away from them.
