Personally I like the "Swedish circle", just to keep it simple, you know?

How about NSG?

What part of L(f(t)) = Int(exp(-s*t)*f(t),t,0,inf) don't you understand?

Not particularly, although one should consider the geologic conditions.

Depends on the complexity of the problem, doesn't it? No need to use special relativity for simple projectile motion at speeds much less than c.
