Just to clarify I hate socialism. I think it's a dumb idea, but I'll acknowledge it can work. Just on a smaller scale.

Look. Socialism is to board of a term to be tossing around, and socialism was never truly implemented. When nations tried it wouldn't end up to well. Soooo, I may sound against socialism in actually not it's just that socialism needs to be reborn... or edited or just trashed. I my self I'm a progressive who thinks that socialsim and syndilclism are ok BUT if they are to be implemented they must have these requirements that I can come up with
1. The must have a form of elections
2. Cannot isolate themselves
3.must have a central government (looking at YOU syndilclism)
4. Must be able to tolerate trade and allyships with capitalists nations

The nations with the highest living standards are able to balance capitalism with socialist policies, these being mostly European nations. These nations also have large amounts of personal and economic freedoms. European nations may have their problems(the most recent being self inflicted, yay for liberal guilt!) but as far as the system goes I'd change the idiots currently running the system and tweak it rather than change to a different system that brings personal and economic freedoms back in time a couple hundred years simply because some people are poorer than others. Without any system in place, there will still be disparity.

Going too far down the socialist route leads communism while going too far down the capitalist route leads to fascist corporatism. Both are bad because both will inevitably lead to some form of dictatorship, and dictatorships have a great track record for being a great place for everyone don't they?

This would be why I'm in favor of putting downright punitive tarriffs on nations that have such an overabundance of cheap labor, to such an extent that producing over there is no longer bringing in a profit.

Racism, sexism, homophobia all have no place in socialist societies and absolute equality does.
Identity politics only exists because there is no equality in liberalism.

How would you even enforce absolute equality? There will still be biases, and quite possibly, if not certainly, discrimination.
I mean, people aren't born equal. Some have disabilities, and some are more gifted than others.
An almost perfect form of equity could work, but not equality.
