If the Kurds want themselves a secular society they ought to have one.

I think to do that, you must heavily support Kurds and Shias and Alawites (and other minorities) against Turks and Sunni Arabs.
Like, really support.
Send an army and unending series of air strikes and declare total war, at least to Islamist Turkey and Wahhabist Arabia.
Fanatical Sunnis are the main core of the problem here.
Muslimeen don't need divide-and-conquer strategies in our Ummah. We should be united, not divided.

They were dragged, overturned, and laid low upon the beach; slain and made heaps from stern to bow of their galleys, while all their things were cast upon the water." - Ramesses III., Battle of the Delta

How about we support the Kurds in forming their anarcho-socislist society in the Middle East and not support Assad?
Because the last time the Kurds tried to create their own country, they persecuted non-Kurds in the region.
And besides, no. The Kurds are Muslims, they should have an Islamic gov just like every other Muslim-majority country.

The fuck does that have to do with what I said?

Define an Islamic gov, because Kurdistan is currently trying to protect religious minorities like the pagan religions and Zoroastrianism, as well as Christianity.

That actually makes sense, you see: hate can make you strong and focused to survive and fight.
If I saw as a soldier family burned alive by islamist militias, only hate would probably help me from descent into madness.
One thing is sure, after seeing such images, I'd never take prisoners of war.
I highly respect SAA soldiers able to imprison islamist murderers and rapists alive, especially if their own families suffered from their hands.

That's hard, since Sunni Muslims considers everyone non-Sunni to be filthy heretic awaiting to be bullied or just quickly purged (the difference between 'moderate muslims' and 'islamists').
