Why not? He pursues policies they agree with and works towards goals they like, such as restricting immigration and getting rid of legislation they think is dangerous, like Obamacare. Trump makes sure to keep saying that he believes what they believe and he repeats it enough it could sound true to someone that wants to hear it.
It's not going to be a series of awful missteps and clouds over Washington that erodes Trump's remaining support, it will have to be grand failures that shatter the image of him as a strong leader. Congress is well on the way to doing that with healthcare and I'm sure no one in Washington wants to see how tax reform talks go, but I think only Trump completely fumbling a domestic crisis the way Bush fumbled the Hurricane Katrina response will really damage his credibility.
