One, sure. Two? Maybe. Seven?! I think that's a bit overkill.

I mean, at what point are we wasting taxpayer money?

I agree, seven is overkill. But many liberals just scoff at the idea of the Benghazi investigation when they would be more than happy to impeach Trump for the same thing.

The problem is that there was an investigation, and then an investigation about the investigation, and then another investigation about the last two investigations, and then another, and another, and another, and another.

It really and truly wasn't about an investigation, it was to keep Benghazi for 8 years in the media with our tax money.

PR. was taken out of the OIA a long time ago.

Generally, it is agreed that the Pres. needs to cut back government expenses in order to lower taxes.

That's not even true. The proposed cuts to Interior, if followed through with all the other cuts in Trump's budget proposal, would only just pay for the 10% bump in military spending. Tax cuts on top of that are pure deficit.

It's amazing how fast Republicans went from "We're glad to see a consummate professional taking over to get to the bottom of this smart and efficiently" when Mueller was appointed to "Mueller is a corrupt compromised liberal deep state shill!" when they realized he was actually going to do his job.

We can make a benchmark number for when we are officially wasting taxpayer money on Benghazi investigations, and I would like to propose that that number be one trillion dollars. There's no price on The Truth until that price is one trillion dollars. At one trillion dollars is when we start wondering why we didn't use that money towards something useful, like commemorative coins and fixing that pothole right in front of the Capitol Building.

Diplomats and embassy security must be fifty, or a hundred or more times more important than serving military then. Or does Department of Defense somehow not count when there's a witch to be hunted ..?

If the Republicans think keeping that conniving self-absorbed imbecile in the Oval Office is vital then they must be scared of something.

Well sure, once they realized how much there was there the Trumpets started going crazy. I wouldn't be surprised of Trump did try to fire Robert Mueller now

Many people in DC are really against firing Mueller. They have blatantly said that it'd make things worse for Trump and then everyone would start suspecting strongly that there is something there about obstruction of justice Trump doesn't want us to see.

However, what he and everyone else with him are doing right now is worse: they're trying to delegitimize the results of the investigation before the investigation is finished.

And there was one.

But of course, it didn't return the results Republians wanted, and they still needed something to smear OBama with...so they had a second investigation.

And then a third.

And then a fourth.

And then a fifth.

And then a sixth.

And then of course there was an election coming up and they needed to smear Hillary so there had to be a seventh investigation!

And the end result was...confirming the findings of the first investigation, 6 more times.

Republicans devoted more time and energy to investigating the mystery of how four people could die in a poorly secured consulate in a war torn African country than they did to how a terrorist attack could kill 3000 people in the heart of a major American city.

But sure, keep trying to tell us it how legitimate BEEEEENNNNGGGHHHHAAAAAZZZZZIIIII! was.

And remember, that's now an official statement by the President.
