Cue half of NSG cheering Trump.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.

Either Trump is making a historically accurate distinction between Russia and the USSR or he's completely off his cooker.

And I don't know who this sausage is, but Trump retweeted him and I dislike him for it. Also, he doesn't know what MAGA stands for.

California and freedom don't go together. They're easily one of the worst states when it comes to outlawing anything and everything.

Shit, people forget that less than a decade ago they amended their constitution to ban the gays.

Which is why I said 'one of only two American exports'

Although, it has to be said, I quite enjoy the locally grown freedom, and I hear that's better for the environment.

It's natural. Trump has never been held to account for his fuckups all his life so he's never developed any.

They also elected Schwarzenegger. Looks like lessons do add up.

Obviously, a liberal amendment process leading to some very illiberal results.

>their politicians literally started the drug war
>their politicians are largely responsible for modern gun control targeting minorities
>amended their constitution to ban homosexuals from getting married

I imagine that list could go on for quite a while but I don't feel like digging through lists of every single thing they've banned and outlawed.

Prop 8 most certainly was a thing, it was later ruled unconstitutional for various reasons but it was there for a little bit.

I think they're talking about this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Californi ... on_8_(2008)

Of course, the amendment was declared unconstitutional by a federal court, as it should, thus protecting the Rechtsstaat in California. Like it's supposed to, really.

There's a pretty substantial difference between banning gay marriage, something most of the US would have been behind at the time, and banning gay people, which would probably constitute some sort of genocide and would have been somewhat less popular.

Also I thought people would be all over that sort of thing because the whole "but religious freedom to hate the gays" thing.

More about Trump, what's his approval looking like right now? According to CNN it's at record lows.

People also forget that San Francisco tried to issue same-sex marriage certificates when it was illegal.

You know what I meant.

I really didn't. It wouldn't be at all surprising to learn that a state had tried to recriminalise homosexuality back during the whole gay marriage thing. It would be surprising to learn that that happened and it wasn't all over NSG for the rest of that year.

More about Trump, what's his approval looking like right now? According to CNN it's at record lows.

Rasmussen has him at 38%, apparently.

Haven't heard what his Real News Facebook show is reporting his approval rate as. 100%?

We're about at the point where anyone pinning Trump's re-election as a sure thing, or even likely, that my laughter can be heard across state lines.
