Yeah. I don't enjoy human misery, but given his attitude and actions over the past eight years, it's hard not to feel some shadenfreude when it all comes crashing down on him.

I mean, principles people, is not that hard.

Trump literally lost all credibility by threatening Murkowski and Collins, and Republicans lost all credibility they had left by not coming to their aid.

We say NOW that threatening the Murkowski was a bad idea, it just made her more determined, but that's hindsight isn't it? A few people in this thread were saying before the vote, that both Murkowski and Collins would give in and vote Yes.

Personally I said they wouldn't give in, but I didn't express great certainty of it.

Ordinarily I would find it hard to stomach that thread, but just now it's funny to see them screaming "traitor" and "cuck" when you know for sure that but for Nay coming instead of Yea, they'd be lauding McCain to the skies for the heroism of coming to Washington from his sickbed.

That still doesn't mean that what Trump did to them is not despicable. I was nervous they'd cave under the threats. It was good to see being proved wrong.

Oh it's definitely despicable. But I'm going to wonder how Trump is going to run the departments of interior and energy now that Murkowski has held everything to do with those departments from a full senate vote.
