Twitter's not any better. Trump supporters and conservatives at Twitter are having a meltdown, and tons of salt thrown around, including people who are accusing McCain of being spiteful and bitter and part of the swamp.

After all the shit Trump is doing, and did to him during the election, can we blame the man for trying to tell Trump to go fuck himself?

I'm a very forgiving person... but no, I don't blame him.

He'd told Schumer at 10pm already.. I strongly suspect this was a 'fuck you' aimed squarely at Trump from him.

McCain's an old hand in Congress and was often the dealmaker between sides for years. He was also pretty good at it.

There may have been an element of "fuck you Donald", but I think it physically pains him what a circus sideshow McConnell, the freedom caucus, and especially Donald Trump have turned Washington into.

I honestly suspect Obama is going to end up close to the top of presidential rankings and have a bunch of monuments in his name, and it will largely be because of how amazing he was when compared to his predecessor and successor.

It's kind of like watching Empire Strikes Back after watching The Phantom Menace and Return of the Jedi. The movie might be good in its own right, but its a divine, perfect piece of cinematic art compared to the stuff its sandwiched between.

Remembering an earlier Graham comment that McCain would do what he felt like doing, I imagine he knew and therefore felt fine to vote yes knowing it wouldn't pass - I think McCain gave him one hell of a get out clause.
