Honestly, I think the 26% are that 26% because the question did simply ask if they'd be okay with him shooting someone on 5th Avenue or not, without suggesting a reason for it (I.E. he just did it randomly, he did it in self-defense, etc.) so they're unsure because the question's a bit vague.

The 45% are the ones that really need anger directed at them.

Neither of them really. Why did PPP even ask that question?

All polling firms do, to market themselves.. though PPP does come at it from a particular angle - in general their more traditional polling on elections is pretty decent.

Pro-Democrat headlines, yes.

The results they get which can be directly compared to other pollsters are very good. B+ methodology, no partisan bias compared to the herd. But yeah, they occasionally make a headline, deliberately, for partisan reasons.

Well good for them. Let's not bandy about that 45% of Trump supporters are OK with murder though. There are several reasons people might answer that way, like presumption of self-defense, or awareness of the context which makes the question implicity "how much do you support Donald Trump?"

Hence why I replied to Torrocca instead of others. They were the only one skeptical of what the polling really showed. I sought to build on that rather than contradict my fellow liberals directly.

If we're going to go on with it though, I'll stand up to you all. Don't just uncritically accept polling because it shows what you want to believe.

I don't own an actual fedora, but I'll admit some details of my dress and speech might be taxable. I'd put my hipster quotient at around 15%, so I expect to pay that percentage of full hipster tax.

I still support it though, because some people are much more hipster than me, I do find them annoying, and government has to tax somebody right?

How often do you see a wall and consciously make a mental note that it's there? Walls have mastered the art of hiding in plain sight.

To clarify, by "not that seriously" I just meant that, given the question is kind of ridiculous, I imagine they either didn't really treat the poll that seriously or they didn't treat they're answer that seriously. It wasn't my intention to argue with you.

I'd say doors are sneakier than walls though. Sometimes you never know when one's gonna hit you, and there's always the clean glass sliding doors that you don't notice until it's too late.

That's not in place though. Common wisdom is that Trump will kill it like TPP, and even if he didn't Congress probably would.

The UK very likely will have it's own special arrangement with the EU, ie, the UK will be favored over nations generally. But the UK will also be free to sign a bilateral with the US, independently of the EU.

Trump should actually be negotiating now, for a bilateral agreement (US/UK) to come into effect two or three years from now. Agreements generally take that long to negotiate, though obviously it can't be finalized until the UK's arrangements with the EU are better know (if not themselves finalized).

What Trump should NOT do is announce some great deal being made right now. That's bullshit.

It probably wasn't a serious poll but Trump supporters are very loyal, as shown by multiple polls including a recent Economist/YouGov poll - some are okay if he had to cheat to win despite the Russia stuff.. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/vid ... ania-video

Polling companies do take into account various factors around presumption, to get a sample size of, say, 1000 you may be polling some 2000 and stripping out responses for various weighted reasons, such as 'time to respond'. Too fast and perhaps they're not thinking about it.. etc..

Not that I'm standing 100% behind it but I wouldn't doubt it too much.
