Kathy Griffith held a severed head in a photo and almost immediately apologized. This still got her fired from the one time she appears on CNN...during New Years where her only job is to make Anderson Cooper uncomfortable.
Ted Nugent saying this got him on Fox News where he remains.
So while it might be 'ten years ago', he's still riding the benefits of saying that and becoming a hero of the right.
Meanwhile, 'second amendment solutions' has been a code for elected officials, people who legitimately represent the Republican Party, for years now. Including Trump himself.
Now, if you think that this is a faulty comparison to a self-proclaimed D-list celebrity or a dude people were already mad at for beating his girlfriend, fine. But it's going to come off as a bit disingenuous.

Yes. A news network. Where people go for political content. That gets more views daily then Pirates of the Caribbean. Which people go to so they can watch a Kieth Richards impersonator act like a pirate.
