Did you like Mass Effect 2?

Was wondering if any one else liked Mass Effect 2.
I personally really liked the first one, but it got repetitive after awhile. Haven't played ME2 3 or 4 times yet so I'm still finding new things to do. Really liked how the incorporated scanning any planet instead of landing on one in every solar system. There's also just so much to do in that game its ridiculous, could probably play it for a month and still not go through everything.

So what do you guys think of the game?

Love it. Played a male and a female char all the way through. It's a game with a lot to do. Music is epic too.

The biggest problem mass effect 2 had was that people keep thinking that male Shepard is some kind of legitimate choice. The second biggest problem is you can't get into Tali's pants with the correctly-gendered Shepard. But the best thing is that you can get into Garrus's.

I enjoyed it a lot. My little brother has stolen it from me for the time being, but I'm getting it back after I beat God of War III. >.>;

It was the second game I installed on my new PC. Absolutely loved it, it's probably the first game I've played where I gave a shit when bad things happened to my minions. It could've been the first one but Kaidan was just too dull for me to care much about sending him to his death.

I also like the fact that the alignment choices weren't 'kick a puppy or save a nun'.

lol, love the game and romanced Tali myself, as the other choice is, a shrink, a human hand gernade with pin removed, and some up tight english bitch. Though with the new DLC of Kasumi Goto, coming if shes romanceable I might have to try her on my next play through, doesn't much matter though, but being an add on I doubt it. There is a few things I miss from the first one though, but overall 2nd one is much better.

I couldn't get over the fact Tali is basically a massive racist.

Hell yes. Been through it five times, two male Shepards (Two Soldiers, one a replay), and three Female Shepards (One Soldier, One Infiltrator, and One Engineer), and I've loved it each and every time. The final cutscene had me holding my breath and on the edge of my seat, the whole thing was just... Amazing.

Yeah I noticed that towards the Geth, but thats not really all that strange, I'm sure if Mexico ran all Americans into Canada we would hate them too.

She is? I mean, the Geth aren't exactly a race, and up until now, they've been more or less mindlessly rampaging through the galaxy, so far as I could tell.

It's more the fact she was utterly blind to the fact that it was all the Quarians own damn fault. I can understand the prejudice to some extent, but the complete blindness was just irritating. Tali rarely left the engine room when I played through ME1.

Only the Geth 'heretics' rampage. The main body of the Geth race don't give a shit about anyone else and just chill in thier little empire.

It felt simpler than the first, but not in a bad way. A bit shorter too, but I think that's just because the first had more readily avalable sidequests, while most of the readily avalable sidequests in the second take five seconds to do.

But it is awesome. Vanguards are freaking awesome. Never saw the use in Engineer's drone things though.

And anyone other than the 'heretics' were pretty much unheard of before this point, presumably even by the Quarians.

True, I mean her people did try to "flip the switch" on them so to speak, that would piss me off too. I always thought of using the "well it was defense" option but in fairness, the Geth could have oh idk not have ran them off the system and killed most of them. Then again Tali should be happy her people didn't end up in any "Matrix" like shit.

The Geth didn't kick the Quarians out until after the Quarians attempted genocide.

I enjoyed the game, but I felt that there were some very major flaws in the game and I can't help but think that this is a result of EA buying bioware. I felt it catered way too much to the shooter crowd and left behind the RPG elements that made the first game so much fun and unique IMO. There was also very obvious plot holes that came as a result of having the cowriter for the first one take the lead for the second, and I only hope that these are rectified or adequately explained by the time the end of the trilogy comes out.

I don't think that excuses the attempted genocide of (what was at the time) a recently emerged sentient species that had yet to display any aggressive tendencies.

EA is the death of all good video games and the companies that make them, plain and simple.
