Kelly should stop legitimizing Alex Jones. She is making a grave mistake.

If people come out of this thinking less of Alex Jones, then, far from it being a mistake, that alone must surely be a public good. 'Legitimizing' would be bad, yet it does not appear that this is the case. Much as the leader of the British Nationalist Party's performance in interview demolished the Party's support and electoral chances, so too could subjecting Mr. Jones to the proper, open, and public scrutiny - scrutiny that he has hitherto largely eluded. If attentions becomes obsessive, then perhaps the orignial purpose is already fulfilled, and an ongoing fixation would have unwelcome effects. It is already true that Mr. Jones is not unknown to many people, due to John Oliver and Stephen Colbert, among others.
