The fact that you felt the need to "ask for a clarification" when literally no one said the thing you insinuated they said (and you'd have to be downright illiterate to not notice that) makes it as much a declarative statement as it is a falsehood. But perhaps most insultingly, the fact that you assume a vasectomy implies a lack of "self-control" speaks so much about you that I don't even know where to begin. If "self-control" was the prime determiner of pregnancy, this would not be an issue at all, but alas it is not. Condoms are not 100% effective, sometimes there isn't a "no" option (but I doubt that ever crossed your mind at all), and perhaps most basic of all: it only takes one unlucky shot to get a woman pregnant - a man could go years without sex, then find a partner for a one-time thing and whoops, she's pregnant. Seeking to avoid the negative consequences of such cases, especially given that the legal system vastly favours women when it comes to child custody and support, is one of the most responsible moves a man could make.

I blame society. I don't blame women entirely because women are simply making use of the social power and privileges given to them by society. I blame society, because we've collectively decided that men who don't want kids are nothing more than selfish assholes and should be forced into supporting a child if his partner has one against his will. Because, again, we decided as a society that men should be the primary or the sole provider in a family.
