I'm pretty sure there's a fair chance they're in fact not looking for Thermodolia.

I think the worry is that the individuals being manhunted might roughly invade, desperate for resources or a hiding place.

There's a prison very close to where I live. Some years ago they had an escape, and apparently their way of discovering the escape was a phone call from other state's police that they just arrested a guy, ran his prints, and he was listed as being in their prison....

Generally I'd think they'd be getting away as fast as possible, but their way of doing that may be killing me and taking my vehicle and my 40 gallons of rainy day Mad Max in my shed.

I would probably lock things, but the barricading may be a bit of an overshoot.

Unless you've already got the stuff for a barricade and you want to know how well it will go together.
