This is fine. The point is that it follows a logical process. It will proceed from the year to the day, or the day to the year. Not month/day/year or year/day/month. From my wee time spent in Japan, I understand that they also write the date beginning with the year too.

I find it weird, why do people think it's society's job to judge what consenting adults do in the privacy of their bedrooms?

Well, it does become society's business when the said consenting adults fancy to bring their preferences out from their bedrooms to parade in the streets, like often happens in Western Europe.
The degree of approval meted out to such blatant indiscretion is certainly baffling to me. If sex is a private matter not to be judged by society, then why announce it in public and thus make it subject to judgement?
---
Another thing I find baffling is the alarming lack of reaction that Westerners seem to show towards the antisocial behaviour of various unsavoury foreign elements that have infested their societies as of late.

Because it's unless it's non consenting, why should we control people like that? You don't have to judge people for what they do if it doesn't hurt them or others. I love the hypocrisy in some areas: showing violence, hatred, and destruction to the public is good, yet showing happiness, connection, pleasure, or creation is taboo and disgusting.

In my experience, it is usually not the certain preferences themselves that are being met with hostility, but rather the overt and demonstrative flaunting of them.
I'm also of the opinion that people need to be tightly controlled in all aspects of life including sex. Concede even once to the base wants of the rabble, and they will start demanding more after having gotten a taste of freedom. The more freedoms they get, the more their appetite for will grow, until eventually their freedom to decide for themselves will become counterproductive to the cause of freedom itself. I don't argue that personal freedom is a great thing to have, but very few people have the maturity and moral fibre to use that freedom responsibly, so the majority shouldn't be trusted with it.
I think freedom must be tempered with few but strict rules of social and personal conduct based in established cultural convention that shouldn't ever be up for discussion. The alternative is social degeneracy, where entire segments of society cease to be proper human beings and become animalistic creatures that exist solely for the indulgence of their pleasures.

Actually, based on experience, it does help with that. I've met very disruptive kids in classes suddenly acting tame because they use them.

Could be the Placebo effect that they're getting from it. Like taking a sugar pill believing that it gets rid of your headaches. I don't know...most people I've seen with fidget spinners don't act tame, they are still as roudy and disruptive as ever.
