What about when you see the bottom of a ship disappear first as it goes over the horizon?

Also, would a horizon exist on a flat Earth? Genuine question, by the way, just to make sure whether or not that would be a good argument against a flat Earth.

P.S. While I forgive the OP for not answering my questions, because they were pretty early in the thread and he probably skipped over them by accident, I'm just going to bring them back up again and hope I get an answer:

A couple of quick questions for OP:

1. How do seasons work on a flat Earth? Because, on a round Earth (and also an Earth rotating around the Sun), this is because the Earth is tilted on its axis (23.5°). In fact, this is why the seasons are completely different in the Southern Hemisphere than they are in the Northern Hemisphere, as one hemipshere ends up getting more light around the other as it orbits the Sun.
2. Apparently, according to a number of flat Earthists, there's a heavily guarded ice wall surrounding Antarctica which is why nothing's really fallen off. Some say it's 150 feet, other's say higher or lower. My question is: If you think it's the case, then how do you know it exists? Because surely they would've confiscated your camera or wiped your memory or existence if you ever came close to it, right? Also, 150 feet is pitifully small when you've got planes that can go up to 45,000 feet and higher, so it's not like someone could get a plane and try and fly over it.
3. What would anyone lie the Earth's shape? Seriously, I keep hearing things about how NASA is lying about it because Illuminati/Freemasons/Satan/etc., but what would anyone gain from lying abouts its shape?

Answers on a postcard, please. Anything that says "Do your own research" or is just a single link to a YouTube video or website* gets laughed out of the room and chucked in the bin.

Also, what shape would the earth be if it was not round or flat? A trapezoid? You know how geologically different the surface of the earth would look like if that was the case? Those sharp angles would be pretty noticeable down here. Plus, what reason would NASA have to lie to the public about the shape of the earth?

All I was saying is that various people believe various things, and some people believe things with little or no proof to back it up, and yet more people believe things even in the face of overwhelming evidence being provided to prove them wrong.

My point was I really don't give a crap what someone believes, as long as they don't try to a) force me to believe it as well, and b) cause anyone else to suffer by pursuing their beliefs. And - as far as I know - people who believe the earth is flat fall into both of those groups. They don't come to my house (or waylay me on the street) and try to make me believe the earth is flat (which is more than can be said for some Christians) and they don't use their beliefs to be shitty to other people (again.......)
