Swedish prosecution is dropping the rape charges against Assange, on the grounds that they are unable to arrange the trial.
Which means he can leave the Ecuadorean Embassy without fear of being arrested and extradited to the US... NOT! The Met still want him for failing to surrender to a court. Of course rule out the possibility that they're trying as hard as they can to obey the orders coming from the other side of the pond. By the way, the UK authorities have failed so far to confirm or deny that they have received an extradition request from the US: still, with Sessions stating that Assange's arrest is still a priority...
Any thoughts? A history of fake prosecution? A history of successful evasion of fair trial?

The great Andrew Jackson had secessionists from South Carolina threaten to secede one time, but Jackson didn't have none of that. He outright told them that he'd come down there personally to hang them for treason unless they relented and they did. A similar attitude needs to be adopted to situations such as this. It would swiftly put an end to any impasse.

Be hard to extradite him if he was currently undergoing trial and investigation in Sweden. It doesn't mean the US doesn't want him, but I'm not one for conspiracy theories.
I was thinking in Britain at the moment. I don't exactly remember the run up or that chain of events. My thought was because we are John Bull's best pals, we get first crack.
