Make Times Square a pedestrian zone. I'd guess drivers in NY are already at peak frustration anyway.

I dunno, I know a Jamaican frieND of mine got started on his citizenship via serving in the army. I have heard of folks being deported as illegals who had served.

According to the news the car went against traffic, jumped on the sidewalk and hit 13 people there. No deaths have been reported and the reason for the strike is unknown. One person is confirmed dead, 13 are still injured. According to some sources this may have been a drunk driving accident

I do think that this was intentional. However I don't believe it was because of Islamic terrorism. Though I will wait until the investigation is complete before further judgment.

Expand the pedestrian zone.

Expand until all of NYC is a pedestrian zone.

And then...the entire state.

I must say, with the population density of New York, bicycle paths would do wonders there.

Yeah, but more. As long as there are still cars without bicycle scratch marks in New York, there aren't enough bicyclists.

It knocks a few years off of the residency requirement. Something like five. You still need a green card.

MAVNI used to let you become a citizen directly without having the green card requirement, though.

But MAVNI was basically a gateway to either a civilian PhD or Special Forces training.

People assume this, whilst sometimes incorrect, because most terrorist attacks in recent years have been the work of Islamic extremists. Its not a horrendous offence to assume the attackers allegiance/religion.

While perhaps true most recent acts of terrorism are from islamic extreemists only the most minute fraction of automobile fatalities are terrorist acts.

It's not necessarily a problem to presume a terrorist attack has ispamic extreemist motivation but its a pretty big problem to assume that an automobile accident is a terrorist act.

About 100 people die in traffic incidents every single DAY in America. Why assume that 2% of the autombile related deaths that happened on just that one day were terrorism related? The odds are massively stacked against that assumption.

I would imagine there will be an increase in the number of anti-vehicle barriers and somewhat of an increase in the overall exclusion area for cars

On a very serious note, the latest developments regarding the mental health of the driver, particularly the post-military service mental health care has led me to reflect on my current state of mental health and reflect on how vulnerable I could be. I can assure you that I have a crisis team now and I am not in danger at this time, even though I am worrying about my own future a lot, considering the fact that my future is clearly not in the UK.

The fact that the man that was driving had been arrested twice for drunk driving is a fairly clear indication that it was not intentional.

The mere fact that i pissed someone off either means i stood for something or i said something offensive.
in this day and age it's both.

Not really, that means nothing. Terrorists can be arrested for drunk driving too.

The investigation so far does not appear to be terrorism, but it also appears to be quite intentional,

Intentionally murderous.. the fellow did a u turn and drove on the sidewalk for 3 city blocks before hitting an anti terroism barrier. Supposedly his first words were something to the effect of why am I not dead now? The speculation is that it supposed to be suicide by cop.
