Not quite. Manufacturing is a lot more spread out nowadays, and plenty of arms companies are located in rural areas.

On the other hand, coastal elites have zillions of dollars and lots of shipping terminals, and plenty of arms companies make all kinds of fun toys overseas, too. Don't fool yourself into thinking a modern civil war would be anything short of an interminable, world-shattering bloodbath.

It'd probably collapse the Union for the most part.
But also mass starvation across even rural as supply chains stoop. They need fuel too, you know, and they certainly got a lot more distance to cover. :P

I also fail to see how this would be a war that could possibly sustain just 2 (Or 3, old gov't) factions. There's going to be a LOT of splinter groups.
A lot.

Yea, and how much of that was coming through Mexico and Canada? Lot of red area between those nations and most of those cities.

Even then you have to consider that a lot of the food we do import is much more luxury than something that could sustain a large number of people like grain.

Avocados, aren't going to cut it.

Coastal shipping is the norm, if you didn't know.

Nah, it'll be dispersed by Reds with RPGS riding makeshift attack boats, apparently.

Nonsense, the Canucks sneak attacking from the north and winning the whole damn war single-handedly and declaring Canadian hegemony across the Universe is the most obvious outcome.

We could very well end up with something like my nation.

You should add "Canada" as the third poll option, just saying.
