We have the money to provide for those children. The reason we allow them to be killed is because they are inconvenient to us.

We have plenty of money for a few hundred thousand people every year. We already pay for our elderly. Just because some people don't want to pay taxes to support the country doesn't mean the money doesn't exist.

Autocracy, when wielded righteously, can lead to many good things. Freedom for the individual invariably leads to evil, such as the hundreds-of-thousands of abortions that are performed annually, mostly for elective reasons.

oooooo we could be like Romania under Ceausescu and have millions of children being raised in orphanages. THAT'LL show freedom whats what!

I'd argue that psychiatric care for depressed people is medically necessary should thoughts of suicide happen.
But, sense most of the time these things are medically necessary, they would still be denying them for no reason other then "My religion says no."
That can lead to a headline of "blood transfusion to cancer patient denied beacuse employer didn't want to pay for it."
Most abortions are not medically necessary; however, they are elective.

As I was saying, if Catholics get that right to deny abortions then all other religions get that right too.
Then beacuse blood transfusions are medically necessary and Jehovah's Witnesses don't like blood transfusions at all, cancer patients among others will be denied the blood transfusions they need to live beacuse of religious reasons.
This is an inherently bad idea.
