I'm skeptical there are enough Republicans willing to break with their party, and even if there were, you need more than 20 Republicans in the Senate to confirm the impeachment and actually get rid of Trump

Republicans are too opportunistic to make such a move yet. They have to wait for Trump's base to die away before they do such a thing.

But they are also more concerned about saving themselves than others. If they think that the democrats might be able to take back all of congress they wouldn't hesitate to cut the rope on the SS Trump

I don't think there's enough public push against him quite yet. Maybe soon, but right now his base is deluding themselves with this Rich conspiracy nonsense

Not against Trump persay but against them. New polls show that Americans prefer a democrat controlled congress over a republican controlled one by a 16 point margin. That's what the republicans are looking at those numbers if they continue to rise they will decide that stay with Trump will cost them their jobs

I really wish that Kasich had taken Trump up on his offer to be VP. He was the only Republican that I was marginally OK with.

Kasich didn't want to leave the governor's office to play clean-up crew.

But a lot of the, would be afraid of a Trump supporter backlash winthin their districts, as much as anything else. I know his diehards probably won't give up for anything until they don't see results from him, but Congressmen might feel the need for rock-solid evidence before they cave and vote for impeachment

As a white gay man Pence would probably be substantially worse for me than Trumo, but I say with no hesitation I would take Pence in a heartbeat to get Trump out of office. At least I don't fear national security leaks from Pence

He'd be more useful as President after Trump gets impeached.

If The House impeaches but the Senate doesn't remove, will Trump count that as a win?

I can just see him going "Nyah, Nyah Democrats! Let's see you sweep 2018 now!"

Honestly? I think the Dems retake the Senate in that scenario.

We have already shown our side of things. You people can't seem to accept it as reality though. Trump isn't out to destroy all gays nor is he out to deport all immigrants, just illegal ones, who need to be deported, so they can come back in legally register, that way they can pay taxes like the rest of us.

It would seem you don't understand how taxation works in relation to illegal immigrants nor the process of immigration.

Trump resigned. Pence was about to be sworn in when someone told him he'd probably have to be in rooms with women without his wife present, so he resigned. Paul Ryan couldn't stop giggling long enough to get through the oath of office. Orrin Hatch was sworn in but he had a stroke when he was being briefed on stuff Trump did no one heard about, so Rex Tillerson is now the President of the United States.

Apparently, Comey just pulled a move worthy of Game of Thrones and revealed he had written evidence of obstruction of justice all along.
