If WW2 is any barometer, any conflict that required mass conscription would likely end voluntary enlistment as well, to prevent people from leaving war industries and ensure each branch gets the right number of personnel.

Well I'm going off of Vietnam in which they still allowed for voluntary enlistment

Plus, I think you can become an officer if you are drafted; however, you have to do officer training.
Never heard of an officer draftee.
