With my skill set, probably some sort of military intelligence analyst. Also has the advantage of being far away from the loud noises.

Well, I don't believe that every British tank has its own assigned piper, but the Royal Regiment of Scotland does have a pipe band assigned to every battalion. Historically they have played in the midst of battle to rally Scottish troops and intimidate the enemy. Pipers played on the battlefields of World War I, and despite playing the pipes in battle being banned by the War Office due to the high casualties amongst pipers, one piper even played his pipes on the beaches at D-Day.

If the military drafted me, things must be dire, since I'm too old to serve and have a bunch of medical problems which likely render me unfit for service. However, the military did want me a long time ago, so I know what they wanted me for. The army wanted me to command some sort of repair unit, probably helos or tanks: jobs that requires understanding really complex machinery and directing people to fix it. The navy seemed to want me to be either skipper or chief engineer of a nuclear sub for similar reasons.

Realistically, I'd probably only be qualified for signals or military intelligence given my health, and I at least have relevant background/education. I suppose if they're desperate enough for warm bodies they might be able to whip me into an infantryman, but i'm not sure they'd want a duckfooted asthmatic.

Submariner. Especially a state of the art one really deep under the water.

I would like to serve on a submarine and be underwater as part of a crew. I can imagine myself working at a radar screen onboard. It will also be cool to learn how to operate all the machinery and tech on board (which I understand is a requirement for service).

It will be interesting to take part in stealth attacks on enemy surface ships and commercial vessels... even though I understand if my ship gets damaged I'll probably die instantaneously.
