Btw, this is the eventual result of term dilution.

It's like the term "sex offender". Now that, in some states, "sex offender" includes someone caught urinating in public while drunk a decade ago, the term has been diluted beyond any real meaning. But yes, I do agree with you that regulation of the porn industry to weed out harmful practices is important. Now, I am not an expert in the field, and even if I were, I think most of the data is obscured due to the shameful nature of it in society, so first it should be noted that proper research should be conducted on the field and see what are the common practices among the porn industry, and not just take it from anecdotal evidence that appears on the news, because the news is interested in views and making money, and so they will report the most scandalous occurrences.

Much like drugs, I think prostitution should be regulated and taxed. Girls have to be licensed, insured, regular health checkups etc. The underground prostitution networks will wither, as it is made legal. No pimps, no trwfficing, no mob involvement.

Professional porn for the most part is regulated, age records are kept, and most of the industry has testing requiremnts. Making it illegal would make it another growth industry for the mob.
