An afternoon and evening on the beach with a mai tai and a book I likely won't touch because there's WiFi while I sizzle, but since I'm taking the kids to the northern isles for a week tomorrow, no better way to spend our last day in the Mediterranean sun for a while. Factor 50 suncream, placating ice creams and sandcastles galore.

Nope, Israel. It's a very tranquil place, actually. You can visit the unearthed remains of Megiddo, there's also a kibbutz nearby.

If it's any consolation I've been having a nightmare of a workweek trying to get ahead enough to miss half of next week, plus a very antsy citizen that didn't or wouldn't understand that embassies don't exist to break you out of jail, but that's my bread and butter, really.

No drizzle where I am, and I'm in the middle of Indiana as well...just clouds for me. And warm 60°F weather. Had to wear a hoodie cause I suspected it was gonna rain soon, and I had to walk to school, so, I was kinda hot out there...

Sadly it's not, I am glad you are having a good time on the beach. Pulling friends Down to my level was never my thing.
