This reminds me of when I was in Fifth Grade, and read Tolstoy's War and Peace. At the time, it was quite boring, although I want to revisit it. Hopefully my appreciation for Russian Literature will have improved...

That's odd. It appears that we prefer opposite conditions in terms of weather. May I ask what your condition is?

The need felt by some to be online all the time is somewhat worrying, it's good that there are still people out there who can still function without 24/7 access to the World Wide Web.

Let's not go there, because that thought experiment will probably end with you being so unlikely to be a real person, time/space rewrites itself to edit you out.

I am not sad or lonely. This keeps me from killing people.
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

Maybe it's a good thing that I'm in Indiana where the gun laws aren't as strict.

I take my work to rule very seriously. The rule being I do nothing boring unless it involves a bonus and instead primarily just browse on my phone in my office until something pops up.

But Dakky's point has a nugget of truth. Not the cheeriest place at all, this thread. And a lot of people who never seem to log off.

I probably shouldn't of said what I did.
I honestly was projecting myself, these days it's also really part I've had friends here for years and I'm bored at work. Just saying people with active exiting lives and people to do stuff with find less time to complain or expect the web to provide their interaction needs.
