Nope.

I'm not saying that he's hateful because I don't share his views, but because I've watched how he interviews people.

I'm not saying he's partisan because I don't share his views, but because he absolutely toes an ideological line - he will misrepresent news that doesn't fit his political view. That's partisanship.

And - to be honest - i wouldn't even mind the partisanship so much if he didn't keep making such a big fuss about how unbiased he is.

But what does that have to do with it? A) I didn't call for O'Reilly to be fired, and B) We're talking about O'Reilly and Fox. Not MSNBC.

What I'm not moving any goalposts. I'm just saying that it's possible, he has a proven pattern of abuse towards women.

Maybe. Not entirely objecting to partisanship.

There's always some bias when one person communicates and idea to another person - the question is what you do with it. Do you flavour the anecdote with your perspective? That's okay. Do you leave out disadvantageous details? That's not good. Do you literally lie? That's bad.

Telconi wrote:You said he "should have been fired" which I shall re-state my comparison, 'I don't go telling people that Rachel Maddow should be fired do I?'

Why are you pretending there's a comparison?

Maddow is actually a pretty good journalist, while O'Reilly has been pulling this kind of crap for decades.

I do think I'd be in favor of Rachel Maddow being fired from MSNBC. She is devoting too much air time to Russia. She sees Russian conspiracies around every corner and is neglecting everything else that can be talked about on her show. Isn't her audience growing bored of it? If Maddow got replaced, I'm sure it'd be because she's a poor ratings performer. To my knowledge, she doesn't do anything scandalous like O'Reilly except be lesbian. Not sure why she dyed her hair from blonde (which is supposedly her natural hair color) but I guess that is her business.

Maddow should stay, as she is a woman. She reports on Russia a lot because the Russians helped elect Donald Trump.

This is about a man being fired for sexual harassment, not women getting fired because you don't like her

If Hillary Clinton ran a better campaign, no amount of Russian help would've ensured a Donald Trump victory. Russia is being used as an excuse more than anything else. There were at least dozens of other missteps by Democrats that played out in Trump's favor.

So far as the decision to fire O'Reilly goes, there are just 3 key people who run 21st Century Fox, you have the father Rupert Murdoch along with the two sons- James and Lachlan. Rupert wanted to somehow keep O'Reilly, while James and Lachlan didn't see the issues with O'Reilly ever going away and recognized that he had to be let go. Fox News is in a bad place with no obvious star to replace O'Reilly. Morale at the station is low.

No, Russia was the key factor in Hillary's loss. Had it not been for the media's overwhelmingly negative coverage of her emails, she would've won.

I have no idea if moral is low.I think any other person on Fox would have long since been let go, and people on Fox might not be happy with the fact that he has been kept so long when others would have been let go. For all I know people at Fox wanted this.
