O'Reilly is out

Postby Neutraligon » Wed Apr 19, 2017 10:11 am

So we have all probably heard about the recent (and not so recent) scandal of O'Reilly harassing and sexually harassing his female colleagues and guests. After the most recent ouster of Fox head for the same issue people have been wondering how Fox would respond to the issues with O'Reilly given he is a big personality on Fox. Well apparently the New York Magazine he is out of Fox news. What do you all think?
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/20 ... to-go.html

Edit: And it has been confirmed; O'Reilly is out. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/art ... pany-says/
After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel.

Has Fox News confirmed it? O'Reilly is their biggest name, so I just can't believe he would be out unless I hear it from their own mouth.

Either way, he probably has enough money to live comfortably for the rest of his life.

No comment from Fox so no as to that hence why I said rumors in the title. And yeah he probably has plenty of money to live on.

Think Fox needs to get their shit together. I don't agree with the termination, and I think Fox is losing a major player. I guess Sean Hannity will be the new face of Fox News. :meh:

Fox is losing a lot of ad revenue from this thing with O'Reilly. 60 companies will not let their ads be shown on Fox News because of it.

It was founded by Roger Ailes. I'd say all the establishment men- well, not sure about Shepard Smith- probably took lead from him.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

Which is a shame, the fact that Fox is being pressured into firing O'Reilly by advertisers over unfounded accusations is sad. Good ol' "Guilty until proven innocent" in the court of public opinion.

Because unproven allegations are all that it takes for FOXNews to pay out $13 million in settlements to 5 former female employees.

Bill O'Reilly because of the nature that he doesn't trust and then the correct word is correct word and then the word document that has nothing to do with this topic and not the document of the word of the spectrum is correct word word document. He allowed me to be an actual woman she said because of the nature nature.

While I kind of agree with you, O'Reilly has been a hateful, lying partisan hack that should have been fired for at least the last four decades, so I can't work up any real objection to the way they may have finally decided to drop him.

Yes... people and companies settle lawsuits all the damn time, the majority of which lack reasonable evidence to support wrongdoing.

So? Iunno about most folks, but if you think your opinion of the man is objective proof towards any accusation made, you're foolish.

It's not unfounded to think that he might assault women based on the fact that he beat his own wife. That's not something I'm making up he lost custody because of it.

To be honest, I don't really give a shit what happens to Fox News and O'Reilly.
I hate most news networks for multiple reasons:
- Fox is just right-wing propaganda.
- MNSBC is just liberal propaganda.
- CNN isn't really propaganda. They may have a bias, but my issue with them is just how shit CNN is with their job of telling the news.

If O'Reilly gets fired for harassing and sexually harassing female colleagues, that's good but I'm not going to care that much.
If he doesn't get fired, whether or not he did it, I'm again not going to care that much.
