Maybe if by "the outside", you mean outside of any and all social conservatism. All of us want to suppress the homosexual community to some degree, but Muslims especially do this. Wahabism is not defined by extreme social conservatism, but by iconoclasm and individual Jihad.

It would bother me because it would cause my child to have additional struggles that I might not be able to help them with, because I would have no power to just wave a magic wand and make them straight or cis or whatever.
