That lacked any coherence but okay. For one, the economic system is one part of politics. Secondly, I seem to have forgotten when socialism was changed from "means of production owned by the workers" to "Being ruled by what is essentially a monarchy and using a weird arse theory (Juche)".

One wonders whether that be how the system is organized rather than egoism itself. Egoism manifests itself in more than capitalism and such - it is simply the system people have been brought up in to live and participate in, being told it is THE system. So I mean, being naive and believing one is doing what is best for oneself because that is the system, I can't see that coming down to egoism alone. There are many factors, even if self-interest is clearly visible.
