Allegedly. I'm not inclined to believe it.
Luminesa wrote:He was presuming that Christians should not care about the foolishness of the world-which is not entirely off, we shouldn’t care too much about what people say-though when people have misconceptions about the Church we should correct them with kindness and honesty. The point is that evangelization requires teaching truth alongside mercy. And War Gears has a point. A good Christian should love their faith and they should have joy preaching their faith, rather than desiring to perpetually self-flagellate to show how holy they are, then shunning everyone who disagrees with them. Which is what Parkus has been doing. It has nothing to do with Orthodoxy itself.

Going on large semi-incoherent rants about individualism, morality, etc. and accusing people of being "Western poseurs" when you know next to nothing about them or their beliefs is not a good way to earn your religion any sympathy or understanding, but Parkus seems to believe it is.

Boom, problem solved.

This only shows how dumb Rome was because a string to carry the coins around with is much cheaper than a whole wallet

This only shows how smart Rome was. Carrying cash in the open is retarded, the coin purse is much superior.

Look at all this hatred for Christianity, we're going to need to bring back blasphemy laws to charge me with all this slander.

If only you realized the irony, Felrik.

If I am an unpleasant human being, which I may well be when dealing with a thread of such unlikable folk as you all, then it would have nothing to do with my religion or ideology (whatever the latter is).

If I wanted to be judgemental and a Russian supremacist, I wouldn’t have chosen Orthodoxy.

Also, I attend a Syrian, not Russian church.

Fam, don't play that game. You once confided in me that you believed in Holy Rus and that Napoleon essentially lost the mandate of heaven because he attacked it. You also identify as a Tsarist and view the Tsar as God's anointed.

Last night I went to a Russian Orthodox memorial service for the Bolshevik Revolution. Orthodoxy is much better IRL.

I became Orthodox because I believe in its truth. I adopted its moral outlook because I cannot justify not doing so.

Profit is not right TEM. We need to liberate the world with our historical materialist thinking. There will be only freedom once the means of production has been transferred to the worker.

Well, once a religion gets big it becomes, from my perspective, more of a taboo to criticize it. Hence.
