A good Christian should love their faith and they should have joy preaching their faith, rather than desiring to perpetually self-flagellate to show how holy they are, then shunning everyone who disagrees with them. Which is what Parkus has been doing. It has nothing to do with Orthodoxy itself.

Going on large semi-incoherent rants about individualism, morality, etc. and accusing people of being "Western poseurs" when you know next to nothing about them or their beliefs is not a good way to earn your religion any sympathy or understanding, but Parkus seems to believe it is.

I became Orthodox because I believe in its truth. I adopted its moral outlook because I cannot justify not doing so.

Christianity is basically the mother of Europe, and it preserved much of Roman knowledge.

It was Christianity and Christian virtues which were what made Europe what it is today and preserved classical wisdom, not immolating people alive for Woden or raiding coasts.
