As I pointed out in LWDT, anti-intellectual and irrationalist philosophy in Fascism is extremely overstated. There was a Fascist Manifesto of Intellectuals, and it was only opposed to an extremely specific caricature of intellectualism, while supporting epistemological and ontological theories about how nothing could exist outside thinking.

Eh, that's fair enough. But in that case, I can't see why the left's obsession with theories is any less a stereotypical overstatement.

This is patently false. After all, Western countries chiefly the US had contributed, directly or indirectly, in the litany of atrocities perpetrated by right-wing governments in developing countries, during the Cold War and occasionally even after then. The world is not divided evenly in a dichotomy between Muslims and the West, you know.

"Anti-West" and "pro-West" are disingenuous terms anyway. More often, they state preferences for empires they'd like to oversee the global hegemony, as opposed to opposition to all empires. This is true for many rightists and leftists.

He's Anglican but in theology he's basically a Catholic minus Papism. Anglicans have a prominent wing like this, with a service that's basically Catholic as well.
