Eh, he all but renounced his throne and pretty much opened the door for the Socialists to gain power in Spain.

I'd say the man had liberal sympathies, at the very least.

If Escobar were alive, he'd be clicking his heels at being able to charge higher prices for drugs because of the wall, even if it won't actually raise trafficking costs for the Medellin Cartel.
