Also it remains to be seen, once we have defined the exact part of Asia Balk is referring to. Apparently it is not commonly known that Asia is pretty big.

Meanwhile the EU thinks that Flowers and weakened armies are enough to stop Ivan?

If Russia understands anything its force and how to apply in cases to where it benefits them, Europe does not.

Brexit has proven that the EU will do damn near anything to hold on and look tough, its all a show for the other nations and Russia as well.

Why bother when we can just bully them into spending more on defense. Afterall, Erdogan did such a great job at fleecing the spineless Eurocrats we ought to be able to get a bit in. Thankfully, because Britain carries its weight, it will avoid just such a fate! Though I am sure being a good Scot, you dislike nukes.

ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

Looking tough is the name of the game, lad. Russia and the States do exactly the same, and the People's Republic of China as well. Flex those muscles! Flex those muscles so hard!

Given how that can be interpreted more broadly than you probably meant it, it might be useful to provide us (or at least me) with a bit more info so that more context is available. I assume you're referring to 1940, but I do not have the luxury to be entirely certain.

That is how it is called in our textbooks tbh. The Martyr of Rotterdam and yes it meant the 1940 event.

Franco-Spanish War (1635–59)
Portuguese Restoration War (1640–68)
Anglo-Spanish War (1654–60)
Queen Anne's War (1702–1713)

War of the Quadruple Alliance (1718–1720)
Seven Years' War (1754–1763)
Anglo-Spanish War (1762–63)

To name but a few.

So, in order...

Irish rebellion
Irish rebellion
Didn't involve the invasion of British holdings
Didn't involve the invasion of British holdings
Didn't involve the invasion of British holdings
Didn't involve the invasion of British holdings
Fighting mostly against the French with the Spanish doing the whole "use the Natives to fight our wars" shtick
War to protect trade interests, no invasion of British holdings
Jacobite Rebellion
Didn't involve the invasion of British holdings
Didn't involve the invasion of British holdings by Spain
Didn't involve the invasion of British holdings

So no, not a whole lot of "Spanish speaking countries trying to take away OUR DAMN ROCKS".

NATO uses English as its main language, because that is only logical. Also it seems you merrily cherry-pick your sources of information, but that was only to be expected.

Also in a related note I wonder what will happen once the politicians lose the ability to use the EU as a convenient scapegoat for their own screwups.

Oh wait.

Its Europe, they'd rather rely on others for defense so they can keep their citizens and refugees reliant on the welfare state.

Again with the hijacking. If you want to make a thread to moan about how the Europeans have figured out how to use Americans as the dumb muscle to provide a free service, then maybe start a separate thread? As it is, this is where we set out to discuss Brexit.

Speaking of which, Brexit: Theresa May’s timeline for EU negotiations unrealistic, warns Germany’s foreign minister, The post-Brexit fantasy of a utopia of flammable sofas, At least two thirds of voters would oppose paying EU 'exit bill' of £10bn or more, poll suggests - as it happened and How Theresa May's Brexit deal could please everyone but the Leave elite.
