The Golden Dawn is an ultranationalist, far right party in Greece. Many people call it a racist, neo-nazi party, but since when is Greeks caring for Greeks...

Racist?

Here's an excerpt from a dominantly liberal article on it: "Just three years ago, the far-right Golden Dawn party was a nonentity. An outlandish group modelled after similar neo-Nazi parties of Europe, they caused more bewilderment than fear. Their anger seemed inexplicable and appalling, but also inconsequential. In the 2009 election they got 0.29% of the popular vote, which, in the tiny electorate of Greece, translates to less than 20,000 votes in total.

Then, after the economy crumbled, bailouts were issued, memoranda were signed and the Greek political system imploded, something changed: on the 6 May election, Golden Dawn got almost 7% of the vote (and 21 seats in parliament). More than 440,000 people voted for them.

While heres an excerpt from a dominantly conservative article on it: "“Golden Dawn will be the first electoral force in Greece. And this is the optimistic message, because such a patriotic wind is blowing across all of Europe,” party spokesman Ilias Kasidiaris said in a speech to the Greek Parliament last week.

“It’s blowing in the United States, where it appears that the next president will be a patriot president,” he said. “A president who doesn’t want illegal immigrants in his country.”

Though he does not mention Trump by name, he accuses Greece’s other major parties of supporting Clinton." - TimesOfIsrael

I personally like the Golden Dawns ideals.

Seems fair, but I do support their anti-immigration ideals. Just not the way they're going about it...

Yeah, their anti-immigration ideals are quite understandable. However, as you said, they're going about it the wrong way.

As long as it's within a fair democratic process, I dont mind.

We do have the communists on the other opposite of the extreme spectrum and everybody seems fine with it even tho they were the biggest mass murderers of humanity.

Even though they certainly aren't my favorite party, I will probably hope that New Democracy will win in the next Greek elections, because I don't like a lot of the social liberalism that Syriza has introduced, and Syriza hasn't delivered on its economic proposals.

It is definitely golden and refreshing. The party has such a cool anthem and aesthetic. Truly a shame that Greeks won't give them a chance at power but they'll vote in a bunch of Ephialtes' (Syriza) who'll bring them only ruin. Golden Dawn had nothing to do with that antifa rapper, who was an unimportant bozo in my opinion.

I would say the golden dawn are indeed golden , people who share culture and country should go before all else.Fascism if for the peoples of the world. Every nation has its people, its culture and its customs. As so, they may never be damaged and remain strong and untouchable

Their economic plan is literally to throw a hissyfit and hope they don't get BTFO'd by the markets.

Even more incompetent than Syriza, which is saying something.

At least they do some nice social work in the poorer neighbourhoods though. The free food they give out to the poor every now and then is nice.

Their leadership got arrested for murdering people who said things they don't like, and they've also been known to attack peaceful counter-protests with police support. Their members have been involved in other assassinations, beatings, attempted anti-Turkish pogroms, and attacks on Albanians celebrating soccer wins. But hey, it's your free speech right to assassinate people if you don't agree with their views and beat them up for existing, right?

Nazis are bad enough, but Nazi political terrorists deserve everything they get. I'm usually against violent anarchists, but in this case I'm finding it hard not to feel a bit sympathetic.

...the verdict should be pretty clear.

It does make it somewhat unintenionally hilarious though, when they try to jump on the "Germany is pushing around poor Greece" bandwagon whey the practically worship Nazi Germany though.
