"Globalism is here, resistance is futile"

I was thinking about this.

About Trump, and nationalism, and materialism, and Globalism. All that. And i came with a conclusion.

We are fucked

Globalization it's the last phase of Capitalism, it's now irreversible. Removing that will damage our modern lifes, because everything that around you it's made by the Globalist Corporations. And Rightist "Populism" will make this worse, creating a more radical globalist force.

"And the People?". Mate, are you really sure that you want to say "good bye" to your Smartphone, your PC and your pizza.

Removing your "Culture" will make your life more easier. Now shut up and look some Facebook memes.

Usually posts like these get responses like "NSG isn't your blog" or "get a blog" or "something something blog something something complete".

But that does this opening post a disservice. Blogs are not worthy of this kind of bold proclamation, no sir. No, what this needs, nay demands, is something classic, something time honored. This requires a milk crate and a bullhorn and a busy street corner.

Eh, nothing that hasn't been said and refuted a hundred times. Brings to mind Fukuyama's concept of the "end of history"

It happens to me about every fifteen minutes. You get used to it.

First off bud, I'd like to say that globalism and globalization are totally different. This article might clarify your mind.

Ok so like, "globalism" brought us a lot of modern things and turned our life more comfy, and right populism will increase "globalism".

Don't do this to yourself, kiddo.

We are fucked

The logical conclusion of any extended period of self-reflection/philosophy.

Globalization it's the last phase of Capitalism, it's now irreversible. Removing that will damage our modern lifes, because everything that around you it's made by the Globalist Corporations. And Rightist "Populism" will make this worse, creating a more radical globalist force.

This is like, really deep stuff man.
I want whatever you're smoking.

Or more hobbies.

I didn't understand a word of this OP except maybe this is the sort of thing I dwell on when I'm high.

Who says that we can't move everything American, back to America? Patrick moved the Sandy Bottom with his bare hands!

It's not futile, necessarily. I mean, the story goes that 200,000 people died for the right to continue sacrificing war prisoners to please the gods in Mexico.

Globalism is a cancer, but the "cure" of fascism right-wing populism is worse than the disease.

What's needed is an evolution beyond the Westphalian model of the state, not a regression to walled communities.

I'm no isolationist, but not gonna lie, America was a lot better off minding their own business after 1812

Yeah, it is Obamas fault for overpowering the Globalists and also made the populist movement. I could explain it to you guys, unless you know the truth.

I'm sure we would have taken a far different path afterwards.

Depends on what you mean by "globalism".

Decades ago the anti-globalization left sometimes talked about a 'civic globalization' as opposed to a corporate globalization.

I'm not opposed to a world that is connected, but the question is what kind of connections, and whose interests those connections ultimately serve.

It wasn't plotted. It's already here. You should start destroying transcontinental markets, international organizations and multinationals. I hear that the nuclear weapons are standing by to fulfill said mission.

I'll happily give up my smartphone and PC if it means my country doesn't become some multicultural shithole.
