Globalism does not equal globalization.

Frankly, globalism is sort of a buzzword.

Globalization it's the last phase of Capitalism, it's now irreversible. Removing that will damage our modern lifes, because everything that around you it's made by the Globalist Corporations. And Rightist "Populism" will make this worse, creating a more radical globalist force.

"And the People?". Mate, are you really sure that you want to say "good bye" to your Smartphone, your PC and your pizza.

Removing your "Culture" will make your life more easier. Now shut up and look some Facebook memes.

I'll happily give up my smartphone and PC if it means my country doesn't become some multicultural shithole.

It's the pizza though. I can't live without that.

But it was in the list of things OP said we would have to give up.

I was trying to point out it was stupid, I obviously failed.

Capitalist globalism is just about cheap labor, and wages are rising in India and Korea and even Indonesia, so that is a short-term model.

Before long we will be a society of redundant ex-workers, replaced by machines. The money they make will go to the one percent, and we will just have to wither away. No globalism required; same outcome.

I think there will come a point when people will have had enough, and either treat each other as savages, or unite together to combat the bourgeoisie.

That's the fear. I suppose we could start living like the Amish. That wouldn't be bad at all.

No, not necessarily. There are countries that govern socialism combined with democracy and/or capitalism and have been successful.

Or you could you know not import millions of unskilled workers who out breed the host population and invest in your own populace leaving them fit and able to generate more skilled work.

Everyone does, to a point. After a couple days of 'relaxing' I start getting antsy. Gotta get back to work.

Nationalism has been around since the ancient times, but I guess that makes sense, too, considering theocracy has been around since the ancient times as well.
