Which Fan Theories Do You Hate And Why You Hate it

Postby Flarbinia » Sun Mar 26, 2017 12:02 pm

The rules of this thread are simple: you explain which fan theory or fan theories you hate and why you hate it in a single paragraph. IT has to be about a popular show. I will go first.
There are some Walking Dead fans who believe that the Walking Dead takes place in the Breaking Bad Universe and that the zombie apocalypse depicted in the show was the result of Heisenberg lacing his meth with "zombie powder" (a substance used by Voodoo priests to create "zombies"). That is complete bullshit for numerous reasons. The first reason is that everyone on the Walking dead is infected and the people who use Meth are only a small minority that the main cast is not a part of. The second reason is that the walkers can only be killed by a gunshot to the head and "Voodoo Zombies" are just people who are brain damaged by a mixture of "zombie powder" and being buried alive by people who mistook them for dead. The third reason is that the Breaking Bad Easter Eggs are just something a writer shoehorned into a scene to show that they worked on Breaking Bad, so they are not evidence. The fourth reason is that Walter White's revenge scheme was threatening his former business partners with "snipers" (two of Jesse's friends armed only with laser pointers), poisoning the corrupt corporate executive who associated herself with the men who stole his money, and gunning down the skinheads who enslaved Jesse Pinkman and getting killed by it (no way in Hell was going to survive getting hit by shrapnel in that area, no matter what some gamer on YouTube with barely any knowledge of ballistics or history says), not turning junkies into zombies (it would have shown someone turning into a zombie if turning people into zombies was part of the plan). The fifth reason is that "Voodoo Zombies" can be controlled or feel pain and the ones on the Walking Dead cannot fell pain or be controlled. The sixth reason is that it pushes the Suspension of Disbelief too far.

Perhaps this should go in the Arts and Fiction forum?
