Snagged myself a weekend job and I am happy about that.

Only nine hours, but $15 an hour.

Probably something to do with your system not meeting the minimum requirements? Or you've got the quality up too high.

I think it might be the quality being too high.
ImageIt's a iBUYPOWER Desktop PC Phantom Series NE783K Intel Core i7 4790K (4.0GHz) 16GB DDR3 1TB HDD 120GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Windows 8.1 64-Bit. Granted I had to update to Windows 10. Now, Tonka Space Station, being made in the good ol' year of 2000, probably freezes because of the newer tech on my PC. So I think I need to launch it in compatibility mode. Actually, I just realized that I might have too many mods installed for GMod, which makes it slow to start up and eventually causes it to freeze.

Indeed. The Sims 4 does that on my system. Of course, I turn down the quality a bit and then it works better.

I am kind of angry at the same time though because this weekend job pays 15 dollars an hour and is via the same camp I worked at last summer and they only paid me 65 cents an hour then.

How the hell do you only get paid $0.65 per hour? That's illegal.

I mean, the job was also 24 hours a day, six days a week.

As far as I know, there is some loophole that allows summer camps to get away with the low pay because camp counselor positions technically aren't "pay-by-the-hour" jobs and pay tends to be more broadly specified as "$200 per week or $1600 for the Summer"

Mine was the latter.
